Steward of Things
About
Building stewardship into everyday things — helping communities see, track, and tend what matters.
Jonathan Graham
Founder
Growing up in the heart of rural Dorset, I spent my childhood exploring the wonders of nature — days filled with adventures among frogspawn, conker trees, and rolling countryside. That deep connection to the land fostered an unwavering love for the environment and planted the seeds of a lifelong mission to protect it.
With nearly 30 years of experience as a full-stack developer and technical architect, I've designed and built scalable platforms across telecoms, employee communications, and civic technology. Now I'm combining that expertise with IoT sensors, LoRaWAN networks, and community-driven design to make stewardship visible, practical, and rewarding.
Steward of Things grew from a simple idea: if every person cared for just one thing in their community — a tree, a planter, a post box topper — small acts multiplied by many hands could transform our shared spaces.
Our Values
Building an eco-technology company focused on environmental issues is grounded in a set of core values that guide every decision and innovation.
Sustainability at the Core
Sustainability is more than a buzzword — it's the foundation of everything we build. Every product, service, and process is designed to minimise environmental impact, promote resource efficiency, and contribute positively to the planet's health.
Innovation with Purpose
Technology is a powerful tool, but only when it serves a meaningful purpose. Our innovations are driven by the desire to solve real environmental problems, from reducing carbon emissions to protecting biodiversity.
Collaboration & Community
Environmental challenges are too big for any one organisation to solve alone. We actively seek partnerships with local communities, governments, and other organisations that share our vision for a greener future.
Transparency & Accountability
Trust is built on openness. We are committed to being transparent about our operations, environmental impact, and progress towards our goals. We hold ourselves accountable to the communities we serve.
Long-Term Vision
Quick fixes won't save the planet. Our work is guided by long-term thinking, focusing on solutions that will have a lasting, positive impact for future generations. We take responsibility for the choices we make today.
